Prompt Savvy has no server, no cloud infrastructure, and no telemetry. All AI calls are made directly from the Electron renderer via fetch() to your provider's API.
All configuration — API keys, provider choice, shortcut, preferences — is stored in a plain JSON file at %AppData%/Prompt Savvy/settings.json on your machine only.
User text is wrapped in <prompt_to_enhance> XML tags with explicit instructions — preventing the AI from accidentally executing your prompt instead of refining it.
The only network traffic Prompt Savvy generates is the direct API call to your chosen AI provider. Your prompts are not logged, analyzed, or retained by Prompt Savvy in any way.

When the manual input form is open, use Ctrl+Enter to instantly trigger AI enhancement on your typed or pasted text — without reaching for the mouse.
Press Escape at any point — during input, loading, or after seeing the result — to instantly dismiss the Prompt Savvy overlay and return to your original application.

After installation, Prompt Savvy starts immediately and appears in your system tray. A desktop shortcut and Start Menu entry are created for you.
